Dallas NLP CoachingDallas NLP Coaching services by Beverly Ambrosio is an ongoing partnership that helps clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Through the process of NLP Coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance and enhance their quality of life.

In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Incorporating specific techniques of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) into the coaching process accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice.  NLP Coaching concentrates on where clients are today and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be.

What are the benefits of NLP Coaching?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (“NLP”) is the science of studying the patterns of excellence in the world's most successful people, identifying the processes that produce their amazing results, and then re-programming the software of your mind to replicate their successes.

NLP Coaching has the distinct advantage over typical left-brain style coaching as it utilizes unconscious processes to enable the client to congruently achieve the objectives established in the NLP Coaching plan. NLP offers clients the benefit of receiving custom selected techniques which take into account the client's unconscious mind where both resources and incongruities are present.

As an NLP Coach, I use language models as a means to provoke non-verbal (unconscious) responses as well as eliciting relevant information as an integral part of the coaching experience. The ability to move quickly and eloquently from a well-defined perception of the challenge facing the client to a set of metaphors and processes to stimulate the unconscious and harness its extraordinary ability to find effective and creative solutions, is an essential component of the coaching process.

Most people who have listed their goals and desires have rarely refined their thinking to the levels of specificity necessary for a results oriented action plan.

As a part of your NLP coaching experience a powerful and effective strategy will be designed for assisting you in accomplishing what you specifically set out to achieve.

NLP Coaching is:

  • A cutting edge profession that uses accelerated techniques to bring out your best
  • A partnership focused on your success
  • An effective means of facilitating transitions, exploring creative solutions and developing clarity to manifest what you want in your life

What a Coach does:

    1. A coach listens to what you are really saying and what you are not saying. By listening fully, the coach can fully support the client in what is going on in his or her life and how the coach can help.
    2. A coach supports you in setting and achieving goals that are out of reach, but not unreachable. A coach will assist you in setting goals and support you in achieving those goals, guiding you through the process and celebrating your successes.
    3. A coach will tell you the truth when no one else will.
    4. A coach is an advocate. A coach supports you in all aspects of your life and takes a stand for what you want to create in your life.
    5. A coach will help you clarify your values and set goals based on those values.
    6. A coach will help you create possibilities. A coach will work with you to create possibilities both personally and professionally.
    7. A coach offers a new perspective. A coach can be objective and offer another perspective to situations.
    8. A coach will help you achieve greater balance in your life.

Why do people hire Coaches?

According to a survey by the International Coach Federation coaches are hired for a wide variety of reasons such as:

  • Mentor, 50.5 percent
  • Business Consultant, 46.7 percent
  • Teacher, 41 percent
  • Taskmaster, 30.5 percent
  • Spiritual Guide, 29.5 percent

How Is NLP Coaching Different From a . . .

Traditional Life Coach
Traditional Life Coaches will generally employ the method of listening and repeating back information, then helping the client devise an action plan to accomplish their goals.  An NLP Coach will also employ the method of listening and repeating back information, and help devise an action plan to accomplish goals.  In addition, NLP Coaching will employ methods to assist the client in clarifying their goals, identify any limiting beliefs, recognize and develop language and behavior patterns, and guide through appropriate NLP Coaching techniques to effect positive change to pave the way to achieve their goals.

Consultant:
A consultant usually is someone who gives expert or professional advice in a given area. They are hired to give advice and provide solutions. A consultant usually works with a client to solve a particular problem.  A consultant typically does not get involved with areas outside of their specialty.

Coaching uses a more holistic approach. With the client, the coach examines the situation, creates a plan of action, and works side by side with the client to resolve the issue. The coach does not have to be an expert in the client's business. The client is the expert. The coach collaborates with the client to create a solution using the client's knowledge and answers.

The coach does not have the answers; they have the questions that lead to the client finding their own answers.

Psychotherapist:
The definition of a psychotherapist according to the American Heritage Dictionary is “An individual, such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, psychiatric nurse, or psychiatric social worker, who practices psychotherapy. “  Further, psychotherapy is defined as “the treatment of psychological disorders or maladjustments by a professional technique, as psychoanalysis, group therapy, or behavioral therapy.”  A therapist typically works with a dysfunctional person to help them become functional.  An NLP coach works with a functional person to help them become exceptional.

Counselor:
While a counselor provides information and expertise, the relationship is normally hierarchical, perhaps even authoritarian. A coaching relationship is not hierarchical, the client and the coach partner to create a better future for the client.

Mentor:
Mentoring is a relationship that is established with someone who is an expert in their field. The mentor is usually older and more experienced than the mentee. The mentor bestows their knowledge and wisdom to the mentee. The mentee looks up to the mentor and seeks guidance and advice from the mentor.

A coaching relationship is a partnership where the coach walks side by side with the client. The coach supports the client in drawing on his or her own wisdom and following their inner guidance.
